Anat Dan works at the intersection of Film and Media studies, Human Rights, and Environmental Humanities. She holds an MFA degree and an MA degree from The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. Her Master thesis explores Israeli documentaries in light of Walter Benjamin’s political theology, specifically around the tensions between law, guilt, and meaning. She recently co-authored a chapter in the forthcoming anthology Casting a Giant Shadow: The Transnational Shaping of Israeli Cinema (Bloomington: Indiana University Press).
