Fields of Study
Anat Dan is a film and media scholar specializing in global documentary media cultures, with a focus on critical humanitarianism and human rights studies. Her multimodal dissertation, Humanism by Other Means: Global Documentary, Human Rights Cultures, and Posthumanism, examines the affordances and limitations of posthuman film aesthetics within the context of the liberal humanist agenda of the film festival circuit. Anat holds an MFA degree and an MA degree from The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University.
