Professor Lawrence Venuti, translator/translation theorist, Temple University, English Department, is scheduled for three events at Penn on Wednesday, October 23rd.
From 12 noon to 2:00 p.m., Professor Venuti will meet informally with students from Comparative Literature and other departments who would like to discuss his work as a translator and translation theorist, or chat about translation in general. We invite graduate and undergraduate students for this session to be held at the Meyerson Room in Van Pelt Library, second floor.

At 4:00 p.m., Professor Venuti will present a lecture "Traduttore Traditore: The Instrumentalism of Conventional Wisdom" at the Class of 55 Room in Van Pelt Library, second floor, west hallway.
At 6:30 p.m., Professors Venuti and Emily Wilson, Classical Studies and Comparative Literature, Penn, will be in public conversation about translation. Penn Book Center, Sansom and 34th Streets.
