Martin Premoli receives the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities award

Martin Premoli is the Rising Waters Graduate Project Intern for 2018-19.   As part of his internship, Martin will be teaching assistant for the fall course, Liquid Histories and Floating Archives.  In addition to mentoring four undergraduate Rising Waters fellows in their research and projects, Martin will provide social media and short essay posts about Rising Waters project activities, including related artists' projects, especially Floating Archives and Ecotopian Toolmakers with audiences in Philadelphia and in Mumbai.  As part of his internship, Martin will develop the creation of new collections in the PPEH living archive, built in Omeka, the SchuylkillArchive.org, and will liaise with Penn Libraries Division of Digital Scholarship and with external developers to promote exhibits and tours of the collections.

The Rising Waters: Philadelphia Mumbai project is in its second year of partnership with Drexel University's Academy of Natural Sciences, and with its second field school in Mumbai, in partnership with the Tata Institute for Social Sciences.
